October Member Spotlight: Tracy Caffrey

Meet Tracy Caffrey, a familiar face at all three studios and one of the longest-riding members of the High Ride fam (she was literally at the first class!) Tracy joined us eight years ago, before “Woo Crew” was even a thing, and her story perfectly captures what this community is all about: showing up, staying consistent, and finding joy in the ride.

From Nervous Newbie to Studio OG

Tracy first found High Ride through our owners, Megan and Scott Hanson, who just happened to be her first neighbors when she moved to Denver.

“Megan told me she had this idea about opening a spin studio. She said it was a long way out… and she lied,” Tracy laughs. “Next thing I knew, I was at the opening.”

Even though she wasn’t a “spin person” at first, Tracy gave it a shot and she’s been clipping in ever since.

“I’ll never forget my first class. The instructor came over afterward, handed me a bike wipe, and I started wiping my face,” she jokes. “I had no idea what had just happened, but the music was amazing, the energy was unreal, and everyone was so kind. I knew I had to come back.”

A Constant Through Every Season

Over the past eight years, life has thrown plenty of curveballs Tracy’s way, career changes, a divorce, new homes, but High Ride has remained her constant.

“It’s my place to show up for me,” she says. “Even on hard days, I know I can come here, clip in, and just move. It’s my me-time.”

Her favorite moment so far? Hitting her 1,000th ride with a Lindsay + Megan Gunderson sister duo on the podium.

“How could you not have the best time with those two?” she says. “Having everyone come together and cheer me on, that’s what makes this place so special.”

Finding Her Groove

Before High Ride, Tracy admits that fitness never really clicked.

“I struggled to find something I connected with,” she says. “I’d go to random workouts with co-workers just to have someone to go with. But nothing stuck. It all felt intimidating.”

That changed the second she walked into her first class.

“I grew up dancing and cheerleading, so once I heard the music and felt that rhythm again, something just clicked,” she explains. “Even though I didn’t have the moves down at first, I kept coming back because of the energy in the room. Now, eight years and 1,350+ rides later, I can’t imagine my routine without it.”

Tracy’s Advice to New Riders

“Just clip in and have fun,” she says. “You don’t have to figure it all out in your first class. It’s not easy, you’re working your lower body, upper body, everything, but no one’s judging you. This community will cheer you on every step of the way.”

The Heart of the High Ride Community

Tracy is one of those riders who makes everyone around her feel seen, supported, and celebrated. She shows up with grit, kindness, and that signature smile that lights up the front row.

We’re endlessly grateful to have Tracy as part of our High Ride family. Eight years strong and counting.
